No shocking result in a game when fourth rankedWonju DB (10-7) beat at home 7th ranked Samsung Thunders (7-10) 84-79 on Thursday. Wonju DB dominated down low during the game scoring 46 of its points in the paint compared to Samsung Thunders ' 26. Wonju DB looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when Wonju DB made 8 blocks. It was an exceptional evening for American guard Ethan Alvano (185-1996, college: CSUSM) who led the winners with a double-double by scoring 26 points, 8 rebounds, 10 assists and 6 steals. Egyptian forward Essam Mostafa (206-1999, college: MTSU) accounted for 19 points and 9 rebounds for the winning side. Alvano is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. Turkish power forward Kerem Kanter (208-1995, college: Xavier) came up with 21 points and 8 rebounds and Canadian Andrew Nicholson (206-1989, college: St.Bonaventure) added 15 points and 13 rebounds respectively for Seoul Thunders in the defeat. Both coaches allowed to play bench players in such tough game. Wonju DB moved-up to third place. Loser Samsung Thunders keep the seventh position with ten games lost. They share it with Sono SG.
